Julie M. Ezell

Mrs. Ezell

A fourth generation Oklahoman, Mrs. Ezell has been practicing law for over 16 years, having graduated with her Juris Doctorate Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2006.  The majority of her career has been spent working in Oklahoma state government.  As a former attorney for the Oklahoma Tax Commission, she has expertise in handling all tax matters at the state and federal level.  As a parent of a special needs child, she knows the hurdles that many families must face in order to receive the appropriate public education, benefits, and estate plan that is appropriate for their special needs family member.

Mrs. Ezell also served as the first ever General Counsel of the Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System, later becoming Deputy Executive Director, in addition to General Counsel. Later, she served as the General Counsel of the Oklahoma Department of Health helping to draft the regulations to implement the newly voted approved medical marijuana program, now administered by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority. She is well-known for calling-out and fighting back against those who sought to stop the medical marijuana program from getting off the ground. Since her departure from the Department of Health, Mrs. Ezell has become a staunch supporter and advocate for patients and business owners alike against increasing and unnecessary state intrusion. Mrs. Ezell’s varied experience across state government and private industry, combined with her willingness to go the extra mile, helps her aggressively advocate for her top priority – her clients.
